My name is Johanna and I have an amazing girlfriend, Kate. I’ll give you the short and sweet version of our short road together, so far.
We met in September of 2011, and instantly knew we had a connection. We’ve been falling deeper and deeper in love since then, and now we’ve hit the hardest part of our relationship.
She is in the United States Navy.
On June 5th 2012, she left to go to Naval Basic Training in Great Lakes, Illinois. I can only write letters for 9 weeks, then she will have her phone and laptop, so in August 2012 or so, we can talk like a ‘normal’ LDR couple, and I might see her in the beginning of December 2012.
This is my online diary of the struggles and hardships with my girlfriend being in the Navy. I don’t know how to cope, or what to do, so I’m doing whatever could possible make me feel better, and able to deal with this.
